Last week at Holy Trinity we were challenged by the idea that fear and gratitude have a really hard time living in the same place. Researcher Brene' Brown gave us the psychological basis for the idea of practicing gratitude... but Moses gave us it's spiritual footing. When the Israelites stood afraid on the edge of the Red Sea he told them, "Stand firm... you need to be still." (Exodus 14:13-14). Have you been still this week? Have you practiced gratitude? If you have... what are you grateful for? How has it changed your outlook this week?
