Benevolence

Holy Trinity offers three primary Benevolence Ministries, including a Benevolence Fund, a Food Pantry, and a Clothes Closet.  Our Holy Trinity family affirms that our charge is to provide a holistic ministry, which from time to time involves providing for very practical physical needs.

The Benevolence Fund exists to assist those within the congregation who are in sudden and urgent financial need and are without other resource options. The details of the qualification, application & discernment process related to this ministry may be accessed by clicking the following link: Benevolence Guidelines & Request Form

The Food Pantry is available for use upon request. The pantry is stocked by congregational donations. Food Pantry donations can be dropped off at the church on Sundays.

The Clothes Closet is also available for use upon request. It is also used a great deal by our Room in the Inn guests during the winter months.  The clothes closet is stocked by congregational donations - which can be dropped off at the church on Sundays.

Room in the Inn

Each Friday night throughout the winter, Holy Trinity joins the Campus for Human Development and many other churches across Nashville in hosting homeless guests. Through Room in the Inn, we will provide 3 meals, a warm place to sleep, access to our clothes closet, entertainment options, and welcoming fellowship for 10-12 individuals each Friday night beginning each year in November. This ministry is at the heart of who Holy Trinity is - and is made possible through our amazing volunteer leadership & participants.

There are many ways to volunteer with this ministry...  cook a meal, blow up the air mattresses, provide breakfast or lunch supplies, drive a few of our guests from downtown to the church, spend a Friday night at the church, do some laundry, transition the space before or after the ministry time, welcome & visit with our guests during dinner, donate to the clothes closet, help clean and organize the space & supplies...

If you would like to volunteer to help with Room in the Inn for one or more Fridays this winter, simply sign up at the church bulletin boards or contact our current Room In The Inn Coordinator:
